Tube

Archway is the next stop from Highgate on the Northern line. Easy to fit in on the way to or from work in town.

Walk

Down Highgate Hill

From Highgate Village it's a mostly downhill walk to Archway. Plenty of members use it as their warm-up.

Bus or bike

Up and down the hill

Highgate Hill and Archway Road are busy bus routes, and lots of members cycle in.

Why Highgate lifters train here

Not a chain.
Not a studio.

Highgate has cafes, the Heath and boutique studios. If you want a real lifting gym where you can train hard without waiting around, this is the short trip that's worth making.

Machines built for muscle

44+ custom-built and classic Olymp machines that load the muscle through the full range. Great for beginners learning technique and for experienced lifters.

Capped membership

We limit memberships on purpose, so the floor stays quiet and the machine you need is free when you need it.

Founded by a world champion

Opened in 1994 by world champion bodybuilder Ian Dowe. Mr Universe posters on the walls and old-school standards on the floor.

Coaching if you want it

Train at your own pace, or work 1-2-1 with a coach on body transformation, muscle building or boxing.
